Finding a dog trainer can be overwhelming because connecting with the right teacher makes a big difference. There's a lot of options out there, and we all just want what's best for our family.
The most important thing for you to know is that I am not a one-method-fits-all trainer. My approach is play-based, with flexible technique to ensure dog-centric learning, resulting in a well-behaved and happy dog. I take the time to get to know your dog holistically and honor individual learning needs. I prioritize communicating with clarity, building trust, and using the dogs own motivations to inspire problem solving and behavior changes.
It's true that most of the work is on the human end of the leash. With play-based training practice is more fulfilling, fun, and builds your relationship, versus leaving you feeling like a treat dispenser. I customize the training for people just as much as I do for the dog, because sustainability is essential for lifelong happiness for you both. I am honest about what I see during consults and continue to evaluate as we work. I always take time to discuss options and outcomes, so that owners have influence on how we train and what can be accomplished.
Ultimately, my goal is to increase understanding between you and your dog, to help you both gain freedom and enjoy a fulfilling life. Learning to communicate efficiently eliminates frustration, and creates more space for harmony and adventure. Let's get you on the same wavelength, so you can experience better, together!
In 2016, Haley adopted a dog that inspired her to learn more about training, which then led to a career change. She began working for other trainers and dove into independent study, investing in learning from industry leaders. After moving to Greenville, Haley launched her business to combine a lifelong passion for dogs with her education and experience. In 2024, she joined the Training Without Conflict community, an elite group of international dog trainers certified under 2x IGP World Champion, Ivan Balabanov. Haley continues to learn by participating in seminars, workshops, and dog sports when she can, so that she can efficiently help evolve the standard of pet ownership.
